Old Cuban


Ingredients

  • 2 oz Aged rum
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 2 oz Champagne or Prosecco
  • Garnish: mint sprig

Instructions 

  1. Muddle the mint leaves in a cocktail shaker with the simple syrup and lime juice.
  2. Add all other ingredients to the cocktail shaker except the sparkling wine.
  3. Shake well with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
  4. Top with sparkling wine. 
  5. Garnish with mint sprig.
