Mulled Wine

 


Mulled wine
  • 6 oz dry red wine (e.g. Cabernet, Merlot)
  • 0.75 oz brandy (or orange liqueur)
  • 1 orange slice (or a few rounds) — plus optional extra citrus for garnish
  • Spices: 1 cinnamon stick, 2–3 whole cloves, 1 star anise (optional)
  • Sweetener: 1–2 tbsp sugar, honey, or maple syrup (≈ 0.5–1 oz), to taste

Gently warm/mull: heat slowly (don’t boil), then strain into a mug.
