Brandy Crusta

 Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 oz Cognac or other high quality brandy
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau or similar orange liqueur 
  • 1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 oz Maraschino liqueur
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's or Angostura bitters
  • 1/4 oz simple syrup
  • Garnish: sugar for rimming, lemon zest 

Instructions 

  1. Rim a coupe glass with sugar and prepare a lemon peel. 
  2. Shake, all elements together in a shaker of choice.
  3. Double strain into the prepared glass and garnish.
